What is the purpose of Accessibility option in operating System?
When all the
users regardless of their disability are able to use a computer system, it is
referred to as computer accessibility. Accessibility features are designed to
help specially-abled use technology easily. Most of these features require special
software, but these days many are built into the operating system of your
computer or mobile devices.
For example window 10, Android and Apple iOS support text to speech feature that reads text aloud for people with limited or low vision.

What are the disabilities that can affect Computer Accessibility?
Following are the different type of disabilities that can affect computer accessibility.
1. Visual impairment: Blindness, low vision and color blindness.
Blind people rely on hearing and touch to use computer. People with low vision may be able to read text and picture under specific condition for example very large font high contrast, but usually also rely on other senses, such as hearing and touch. Color blindness is the inability of discriminate different in colors, mostly between green and red
2. Motor impairment: Total absence of limbs, paralysis or pain in use of fingers, hands, wrist for arms.
Individual with motor impairments mainly
face difficulties in using standard input devices like keyboard and the mouse.
3. Hearing disability: From slight loss of hearing to total deafness.
People with hearing impairment communicate using sign and written language, while a few make rely on lip-reading and hearing-aids.
4. Cognitive disability: Mental weakness, language and learning disabilities, head injury and stroke.
People who find difficulties in the performance of mental tasks. These can range from limited and focus problems affecting a very specific cognitive function, where the individual is unable to take care of daily living activities.
5. Speech impairment: Speech impairment quiet rare and sometimes are combined with other disabilities, but they do not indicate Limited intelligence.
Individuals with speech impairment may have articulation problems, be able to speak loudly or clear, or even to speak at all. Obviously, they have problems in using speech recognition system.
6. Illiteracy: illiteracy is the lack of ability to read and write in any language
Although illiteracy is not a physical disability, it creates considerable
blockades to computer accessibility and is often treated in the overall context
computer accessibility.

Launching accessibility Options: The Accessibility settings in Windows 10 can be activated in different ways.
From Setting: Step 1: Click start button> Setting
1) Narrator:
Narrator is a screen-reading app. It reads on-screen text aloud in a few
application and programs. Use Narrator to use your computer without a display
or mouse, to read and write email, browse the Internet, use apps and work with
documents and to complete common tasks.
2) Magnifier :
Use Magnifier options to increase the size of text and images or change the way items display on the screen. Enlarge the full screen, the area around the mouse pointer, or just a part of the screen
3) Magnifier Modes :
1) Full Screen enlarges the entire screen.
2) Lens enlarges the area around the mouse pointer.
3) Docked enlarges part of the screen.
4) On-Screen Keyboard :
On-screen keyboard is a visual keyboard that opens on your screen and takes the place of physical keyboard. You can type using a mouse pointer or joystick. If you have a computer with touch screen, you can also type using a stylus, mouse stick or your finger.
5) Mouse Settings:
If you have difficulty seeing the mouse pointer on your screen, you can change
the color and size of the pointer to make it more noticeable.

What are Sticky keys, Filter keys, and Toggle keys in Window Operating System?
Sticky Keys help the impaired people to use computer and help to reduce repetitive keyboard typing. Sticky keys help the modifier keys to remain active until another key is pressed. Modifier keys such as Shift key, Function keys, Ctrl key, and Alt key, combination with other keys to execute certain action while using a computer.
Filter Keys helps impaired people whose hands tremble. Filter keys ignore the repetitive key strokes while using a keyboard and make the typing easier for those people.
Toggle Keys help people who are blind. Toggle keys get active when pressed ON. A high pitched beep sound is produced when the keys are turned ON. A low pitched sound is produced when the keys are turned OFF while using keys such as Caps Lock, Num Lock.
