What is a Blog?

A blog is a type of web page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal for an individual. It is updated daily and reflects the personality of the author.


It is displayed in a reverse chronological order. The most popular Blog platforms are WordPress.com, Blogger.com. They have made it possible for millions of people to write billions of words every day.

What is Online and Offline Blog Editors?

Blog stands for weblog. A place where daily events can be registered. There are two types of blog online and offline, which are helpful according to the internet availability.

1) Online Blog: These blogs are used online as its name suggests, so internet is  always required for it. Articles are written, edited, and published by using online website. There are many platform which provides free and paid services.

Free sites has simple layout and HTML based which are little difficult to manage and doesn't provides advance features for example Blogger.com.

On the other hand paid sites are easy to used, maintain, and provides advance features for example wordpress.com

2) Offline Blog: What will you do if you don’t have an active internet connection and you wish to write a blog? To do so you can create blogs using an offline blog application and publish the post whenever internet connectivity is available.

1)  Personal Blog is the most common type of blogs. It is commonly written in the personal language and with emotional touch for friends and colleagues.

 3)  Forum Blog is a place to discuss general blogging issues by asking question, giving answers, express things and share how we can improve in blogging.

 4)  Review Blog is a blog where a blogger share reviews about different products like mobiles phones and other products.

 

What are the elements used in a Blog?

A blog can be designed on any topic according to interest like Technology Blog, Food Blog or a Travel Blog. There are the basic elements which can be used to design a blog.

1) Pictures can be used related to the contents in a Blog

2) Text of any language can be used, so that article could reach to the maximum readers.

3) Video can be uploaded to give extra dimension of a Post.

4) Hyperlink can be used to share pictures, video, or a website link to setup a web.

While readers come to your blog for information, they also would like to see if the concept can have some images. It will help them relate better.


5) Respond to blog comments

This is an opportunity to connect directly with the readers. Not all comments need a response, but be sure to respond to ones that do. And sometimes it’s posting a thank you message, “Thanks for reading my blog.”

What is the difference between Blog and Website?

Both blog and website look same; they have same URL example www.arvindzeclass.in . Now can you tell that URL is a website or a blog? In technical terms both are little different. Let us we discuss it,

 

1)  Blogs are updated daily bases posting articles or videos for example YouTube is a video blog (blog). On the other hand websites aren’t updated regularly.

 

2)  In blog, users visit and comment about the article, but in website they can’t comment.
